Protein Balls

These protein balls are quick to make and packed with fibre and slow-release energy to give your body a little nutrient boost when you need it most.

 

Prep Time: 

30 minutes

 

Ingredients: 

(makes 10-12 balls)

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup nut butter (almond or peanut works best)
  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp moringa powder
  • ¼ cup shredded coconut (optional, for coating)
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips or cacao nibs (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

 

Directions: 

1. Add the oats, moringa powder, and sea salt to a bowl. Stir to combine.
2. Mix in the nut butter, honey/maple syrup, and vanilla.
(If the mixture feels too dry, add a splash more honey or a teaspoon of warm water)
3. Stir in the chocolate chips or cacao nibs (optional).
4. Use your hands to roll the mixture into small balls (about 1 tablespoon each).
5. Roll each ball in shredded coconut for an extra boost of flavour and texture.
6. Place in the fridge for 20–30 minutes to firm up.
